Exterior Remodel 2

This remodel added new doors, windows, and a deck—simple updates that improved comfort, durability, and everyday use.

This project focused on updating both the exterior and interior of a lakeside home to make it stronger, more functional, and better suited to everyday use. The work centered on replacing old doors and windows, as well as building a new platform deck to create usable outdoor space. It was time for an exterior remodel.

Inside, the original windows were dated and inefficient. They were removed and replaced with new units that not only improve energy performance but also frame the views outside. The same was done with the doors—swapping out worn openings for new, solid replacements that give the home better insulation and security. With fresh trim and finishes, the interior now feels cleaner and more connected to the outdoors.

On the exterior, the siding around the new openings was repaired and tied in for a seamless look. The biggest change, though, was the addition of a platform deck. Built low to the ground and flush with the entry, the deck provides a safe, level area for outdoor dining, relaxing, or simply enjoying the view. The design is straightforward and durable, using materials that can handle the elements while keeping maintenance simple.

The combination of new doors, windows, and a deck transformed how this home works. What had been a closed-off entry and a rough patch of ground is now a finished transition between indoors and outdoors. The homeowners gained more light, better comfort, and a functional outdoor space that adds value to the property.

This exterior remodel is a good example of how targeted updates can make a big difference. By focusing on the right improvements, the project created both immediate comfort and long-term durability without changing the character of the home.
