Derek Boulanger is a seasoned facilities management professional with over 25 years experience. His career began as an electrician, and he has since built a diverse skill set encompassing project management, energy efficiency, sustainability, and contract negotiation.
His extensive experience includes managing facilities for a local bank, overseeing capital projects at multi-unit apartment complexes, and 12 years serving as the Director of Facilities and Energy for a City. In this role, he was responsible for managing over 1.5 million square feet of infrastructure, overseeing a $2 million annual operating budget, over $60 million in construction projects, and implementing sustainability initiatives across the city.
